What is the Grŵp Cynefin Cost of living Community Grant and who can apply?

This is a grant scheme up to £500 available for groups working within Grŵp Cynefin’s operational area (six counties of north Wales and north Powys).

Voluntary groups, community groups or groups of residents who wish to come together in the area they live in can apply for a grant.

The grant is available for groups who want to make a difference to their local communities facing crisis and hardshp due to the cost of living crisis.

This is a grant scheme up to £500 available for groups working within Grŵp Cynefin’s operational area (six counties of North Wales and north Powys). The groups we support will provide services and activities that will make a big difference to local communities facing crisis and hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis.

We can support projects/activities that address the cost of living crisis e.g. community food pantries, community fridge, growing food, fuel poverty, financial advice.

Voluntary groups, community groups or groups of residents who wish to come together in the area they live in can apply for a grant.

  • the group does not need to have a constitution (a constitution states the intentions of your association to work for the benefit of the whole community it represents)
  • the grant must be spent within 12 months.
  • you will be required to provide 20% matching fund

 

 

  • by individuals
  • to support the core costs of a community centre, school or club.
  • by groups for religious activities
  • by companies trying to make a profit
  • retrospective funding, i.e. projects that have already been completed, whether or not already paid for
