Grŵp Cynefin shortlisted for two awards in the Welsh Housing Awards

Grŵp Cynefin have been nominated for their fourth award this year. Congratulations to the Community Initiatives Team who have been shortlisted in two categories at the Welsh Housing Awards to be held in Cardiff in December.

The team’s outstanding work has been recognised in the ‘Excellence in tenant scrutiny’ category, for encouraging tenants to get involved and making their voice heard in shaping services and policies, elements that have a positive impact on tenants and their homes.

In addition, HWB Dinbych have been nominated for an award in the ‘Supporting Communities’ category. HWB Dinbych, based in Upper Denbigh, serves as a community hub offering support, educational, employment and wellbeing opportunities to the community on their doorstep. It is a space for Coleg Llandrillo, Denbigh Youth Project, Denbighshire Youth Service and other organisations from the third sector to meet with the community in a comfortable, convenient and easily accessible location.

The Welsh Housing Awards are held annually to recognise all the good work that is happening to help tenants, customers and communities across the sector in Wales.

“We are so pleased to have been nominated for these two special awards” said Ffion Pittendreigh, Grŵp Cynefin’s Community Initiatives Manager. “It shows our dedication as a team, and Grŵp Cynefin as a whole to creating a culture where tenants’ voices are heard and valued. It’s also great to see HWB Dinbych receiving recognition for the invaluable work being offered to the people and community of Denbigh.”

Good luck to the Community Initiatives Team at the awards on 12th December 2024.
