Grŵp Cynefin welcomes the new Older Person Commissioner for Wales
Grŵp Cynefin Chief Executive has offered their full support and welcomed the new Older Person Commissioner for Wales. Earlier this week, Rhian Bowen-Davies was confirmed to the role, and presented her plans and priorities to deliver lasting positive change for older people across Wales.
Mel Evans, Chief Executive of Grŵp Cynefin, says:
“As a housing association that provides homes and services for older people across our operational area in north Wales and Powys, we congratulate Rhian Bowen-Davies on her new post and fully support her vision of improving the lives of older people in Wales.
“Grŵp Cynefin is dedicated to providing essential homes and delivering support services to older people – we have five Extra Care Housing Schemes, including our newly redeveloped scheme at Llys Awelon, Ruthin – offering independence, support and community living, as well as two sheltered accommodation schemes. Our two subsidiary companies, Canllaw and Conwy and Denbighshire Care and Repair, offer a range of services to help keep older people living home for longer.
“Gorwel, Grŵp Cynefin’s support unit is also helping older people to remain independent for as long as possible and preventing homelessness.
“We have worked with Rhian in the past and know how dedicated and sincere she is. We wish her well and offer our full support to realising her vision.”
