Main Ceremony crowns a great week for Grŵp Cynefin

On the day of the Denbighshire Urdd Eisteddfod 2022’s crowning  ceremony, Grŵp Cynefin’s Chief Executive has expressed her pride that the group is the Main Sponsor of today’s ceremony (Friday, June 3). The group has had a great week with thousands visiting the unit on the maes and a host of activities throughout the week, including the launch of the company’s Sustainability Strategy and a discussion on affordable housing with Mabon ap Gwynfor MP.

“Grŵp Cynefin is very proud to be the Main Sponsor of one of the highlights of the festival, the crowning ceremony at the Denbighshire Urdd Eisteddfod. Denbigh and the surrounding area are important to Grŵp Cynefin. One of our main offices is in the town centre, Ty John Glyn, and many of our staff and customers live nearby. HWB Dinbych is a Grŵp Cynefin partnership – an important centre offering all kinds of courses, programmes, support and education for the community, particularly young people in the area.  This year we opened Awel y Dyffryn in Denbigh – our largest extra care housing scheme to date, providing a warm and supportive community for the county’s  older people.

“Grŵp Cynefin offers much ‘More Than Housing’ – grants, partnerships, support, opportunities, employment and supporting a festival as dynamic as the Urdd Eisteddfod, on our doorstep, is very important to us.

“Our staff have been so busy all week welcoming people to our unit, running activities and connecting and chatting with tenants and customers. It’s a great opportunity to tell people about all we do at Grŵp Cynefin.”
