Grŵp Cynefin raising awareness and offering support during Sexual Violence Awareness Week

Sexual Violence Awareness Week is running from 5th to 11th February. It’s an opportunity to discuss and address sexual abuse and violence.

It aims to acknowledge survivors’ experiences to create a society that will not tolerate sexual violence. The week is gaining momentum, especially on social media, with various organisations joining forces, including Grŵp Cynefin’s Gorwel support service.

Sharon Morris, Director of Housing, Grŵp Cynefin  says: “This week emphasises collective responsibility in combating sexual violence and supporting survivors. The work Gorwel does in relation to supporting survivors is immense. We should be very proud what the team have achieved in providing much needed support to people who have or who are currently experiencing sexual violence and give recognition to the great people we have working for us.

“Gorwel is out and about as part of this campaign, raising awareness of this issue and spreading the word about the support we and our partners offer.”
